Alternator Cover 998 - 999

  1. Does anyone here know if the alternator cover with waterpump and alternator from a 749/999 fits on a 998 2002?
    So far I know the engines are equel but the partnumbers are different...

  2. IIRC they are the same. I know the clutch case is exactly the same and I'm quite sure the alternator cover is too.

  3. Clutch side is the same indeed, for lots of Ducati's with dry clutch.

  4. Not exactly. There's a few small differences even between the 996 and 998 cases.

  5. They are the same as is the 748R type version of the later cover. I know someone who fitted a 749 cover on their stock 748.
