Essentially it works as a high-tech tracking device and is Thatcham approved. When the system is fitted onto your bike then you can easily track its whereabouts by simply logging onto the website and seeing the location of the bike at any time of the day, 365 days a year. This is invaluable if your bike has been stolen and it can be fairly easy to locate its whereabouts. Not only did the system recover several hundred thousand pounds worth of bikes last year, it also had a 90% success rate in finding and recovering stolen motorbikes that were fitted with the system. Indeed, with Bike Trac installed on your bike then you are also eligible for a 25% discount on insurance from Ducati insurance. The deal only applies to new 1199 Panigale’s purchased between now and April 30[SUP]th[/SUP] 2013 and the Bike Trac subscription lasts for 12 months.
