  1. Stick an Ohlins ecu on, and its fixed

  2. What Boomer said, IMO the Mk1 s electonic Ohlins with the mechatronic SCU fitted feels much more compliant than the Skyhook. That said I like a softer feel and the Skyhook was a little choppy for my taste. Andy

  3. Anything is going to feel better over the bumps compared to the panigale!

  4. If yours ain't happy doing 30 in third then you need your ECU reprogrammed to sort out the low down fuelling. That, with a decat, make it a different bike to ride at those sort of revs (2.5-3k)

  5. Why would you want to do 30 in 3rd?! Not good for the engine IMO

  6. I have no idea but that seemed to be the single biggest bitch people talked about on the early single spark engines. The lowest rpm I will ride in 3rd to 5th is 4000 and 6th has to be 5500 to 6000. Think I've only used 6th a dozen times in 5 years. Andy

  7. Agree, using 2nd is enough, and try and stay above 4k although I must use 6th more often than you. But then 6th on this is a gear, unlike previous models where under 80 it made no sense at all, just and overdrive

  8. Each for their own I suppose but I find 30 in 3rd is just fine for me (standard gearing) with a properly fuelled engine. No jerking, no hunting. Anything less mind and its second for sure

  9. TBH I'd be more worried about the motor. Not wanting to start scaremongering, but all those vibes at low end, there are more than one Ducati specialist that believes this is a root cause for big end failure even in low mileage bikes. :)

  10. What is this thing you call 30??

  11. I bought a 1199S Tricolore a year before I got a DVT in September 2015. I rode the Panigale once since owning the DVT. Okay, it may be because I've got a new toy.
2016: rode the DVT, SORNED the Panigale.
2017: not sure what to do. I ride the DVT with mates on sportsbikes in the Peak District (curve heaven:grin:). Various bikes, R1, Tuono (V2 & V4), Blade, HP4, FZ1 etc, and I'm up there with the front riders without losing weight (ie no conering ABS or TC being activated).
I'm convinced it's a balance between power, chassis, electronics, and (and this is the big seller) being able to see around the corners before anyone else!

So I'm probably going to part with my immaculate Tricolore (that's become a seemingly permanent feature in my lounge). I'm probably never going to own what is essentially a track bike with lights & indicators ever again...

    Groutmaster, you are not alone

  12. That's made me feel a bit better!
On the test ride I blasted down a country road I know and it was so easy to go fast and without being launch out of the seat. I took the panigale dorm the same bit of road afterwards and couldn't go as quick as easily. They are hard work to ride unles you are going fast on a smooth road!
Most the lot I ride with have pure superbikes like your lot and I'm going to get a ribbing for having a multi but should be fun when they see me keeping up (even though I'm leading with the twat nav most the time!)
I did a lap of the Peak District last summer inc snake pass 540 miles round trip in a day for me!

  13. Turn the wheelie control down to 1 then nail it ;)

  14. Can't it be turned off completely?
First few rides on the panigale I didn't realise it had "anti flip"! Once I turned that off it was great!

  15. It can. But leave it on one and you can just run the throttle and the gears out ;)

Not that I've tried it...my MY13 skyhook didn't have DWC and you'd have to be very careful on too much of a fistful. Used to wheelie that quite a lot :)

  16. I live in the Peak district , the multi is the perfect bike for me :)

  17. I live in the flat district (Suffolk), the Multi is perfect for me too! :)

  18. does the multi 'firm you up' like the panigale?

  19. At the flick of a switch ;)

  20. Not when it's this cold :fearscream:
