1198 Quickshifter On 1198 2011

Not too sure on the question friend but the qs only came as standard on the SP model (and R i believe), the base and S don't have one.

 

Not on R.

 

The 1198R? I was unsure.

1198 S - DTC only
1198 SP - both
1198 R - both and a whole lot more!

i got a feeling the later 11 plate 1198 base did have a qs and dtc, ducati aylesbury had one for sale .

 

May be they did, Ducati have a habit and sticking additional parts on end of line just to empty the bins

 

When the Panigale came out they loaded the old stock with DTC and DQS

 

I have a 2011 Base model 1198 and it came with DQS DTC and DDA

 

You learn something new everyday. Mine is a 2010 S and doesn't have the QS, so maybe they did spec them out later on.

 

I think that when they did the last run of the 1198 they threw all the leftovers at it which is great for base model owners

 

I've got QS on my 1198R.

 

Its an easy enough upgrade if you don't have one. My 1198s didn't have one, I bought an OEM off ebay and flashed the ecu to activate it.

 

I own a 2011 1198 and can confirm it came with QS and DTC as OEM.

 

To add - I had a 2011 1198. That last year of the 1198, DTC and QS both came on the base model. The 1198S had it earlier. 2011 only the 1198 SP was available next to 1198.

I had both the DTC and the QS switched off as both were shockingly bad. Annoyingly, the QS, automatically switches back on when you turn the ignition off and back on.
