Many years ago I was biffing along the motorway on the Darmah, that had conti replicas, in cahoots with a Yamaha RD350LC and he said he could still hear it when he was in front of me...
Yeah but I bet that sounded awesome. This was like a jet/broken bearing on a turbine.. it was just horrendous and how any exhaust pipe manufacturer thinks that sounds good is beyond me... It was resonating at a pitch that made my eyeballs wobble !. And I was on a 996 with loud pipes... All I could hear was this Scream... I have a V4 too and was looking at pipes.. not that one for sure
Pirelli Phantom? I didn’t know they were still being made. I remember years back my Katana had the occasional "Phantom Wobble" with those fitted. That said, most bikes of that era were pretty wobbly if you were pushing it. Ah, happy memories (he says rubbing his aching shoulder).
Yes, I take your point, but only because all motorcycling practicalities have been stripped off it. Theres no mudguards to protect from water spray should you have the idiotic idea of riding in the rain. No fairing to protect from the wind. Apparently nothing to tell how fast you are going or how fast the engine is revving. Nowhere for a pillion to put their feet. They have even removed the helmet holder for fucks sake!
