Evenlonger when the Zeebrugge - Hull overnight ferry was cancelled and I had to ride from Deauville - Calais - Dover - Newcastle in one go. Oh, it lashed with rain for the last 4 hours for good measure.
Check out Ronnie Weir photos in albums in Facebook he has uploaded 1000's of photos from the 70/80/90,s a lot of production bike stuff you might find some interesting ..
Yes I did - I wish I could remember re bevels, the only programme I have from the south is Mallory park 12th May 1985 which I raced my YPVS350, my oldest programme is 7th Sept 1980 the year Jock Taylor raced at Knockhill in the sidecar challenge, Ron Haslam was up for that one along with a shed load of excellent English riders, the prize money must have been good, a load of bevels in the proddy open race too..
Paul, did you race? do you have the race programme for that meeting? were there any other Bevels racing?
Tim9 The bike is not that modified and I have everything needed to swap back to original if I decide. No plans on selling but I was thinking of swapping the rims back to original (previous owner).
This is how I mounted my Garmin 595 but found there was a bit to much wobble and ended up hunting down a Navihalter on fleabay second hand and paid the same price as if it was new. I wonder if the people at Navihalter have recovered from their crash ? hopefully they are up and around and building Nav mounts again !!
What have you spent on this, it looks very nice but I'm thinking maybe you should have left it standard as you won't get the money you would expect from the mods you have done on it, these are worth much more as standard, especially these days.
Yes you can. I've got a Garmin 395 but any GPS will suit provided its mounting plate can has a Ram ball. The mount goes up and down with the screen, obviously, and in the lowest position you can still see the dash. With the double Ram socket you can adjust the GPS's height and angle easily. I now have a DVT with an MRS screen, which has a shallower angle then the OEM screen, so less clearance for the GPS to be angled upwards, but even so it leaves the dash clear.
That’s brilliant! Brother in law is allowed to keep his Norton Dominator in the lounge (complete with stainless steel drip tray)!
