I think he's more concerned by the direction motorcycling riding fashion is heading judging by the fella wearing the white 'thing' Not sure that'll catch on
The emissions regs would still be the same if they add 100 or 200cc. They are not getting round the regs, just adding cc to get back to where they were in terms of performance.
Well...yeah - moving the goalposts....more cc's is still going to produce more exhuast gases....there is no "middleweight class" anymore, hell, there is no class of motorbike anymore - you just decide what you want to buy and it comes with whatever said displacement they happen to go with that year....
Historically, yes, but we’ve all become greedy. With 1299, 1100, 1302cc all being the norm across a number of manufactures, 800cc is the logical middle ground to me. It harks back to the GSXR 750 being the perfect blend of power/weight/performance.
Sounds like theyve failed then....Aprilia never needed to do that...(my rsv4 is easy to ride, even with a modded ecu and a full system...)
Yes - very true - ill give you that but, why would there be a difference in service intervals in relation to bore size though...?
TBH I’m mechanically inept so it was more of an assumption that bigger bore size means less highly strung, and less pressure on components.
Since many have mentioned that the frame is too prominent and since I am not averse to tearing down a brand new bike to change the frame/swingarm colour (as on my 1199 and 1299), unsure as to whether this looks an improvement when colour matched to the subframe/swingarm. My original V4S concept With colour matched frame and link bracket. Suspension/ swingarm brackets would be Cerakoted black as well. Shorter number plate bracket fitted.
Not yet but these might be interesting if you were customising a naked bike. http://www.brembo.com/en/bike/performance/3-lights
