  1. Not sure on this one Andy as i never swapped over to m50's on my 899 as Brembo advised against it.But i think they were just covering there ass as its quite a common upgrade now.

    Question:
Would these work with the abs system on my Ducati 899 and what master cylinder would work best,Thanks

    Answer:
Hi, this calipers can't be used with ABS system.

  2. Thanks Simon. I've read multiple threads about M50's favouring the RCS17. I haven't known anything outside my own set up so If I change and it improves what I have, winner :upyeah:Changing lines and reservoirs anyway so might as well give a new MC a try. Just thought this morning about banjo fittings and line routing and wondered if that was the root cause of my current line damage.
Surely the M50's are ok with the ABS on the 1199's

  3. Having spoke to JHP who have done a few m50 upgrades to 899/959's they have assured me that the standard master cylinder on the 899 work perfectly well.

  4. JHP are making my brake lines 'in house' as the standard lines wont fit correctly

  5. Thanks for the reply Adam. Roughly how much will it cost for your lines. Wondering if i'm better off selling my HEL lines and getting custom made, if they've made them before looks like the best place to go. Or just leaving mine as it is
    Cheers
    Andy

  6. I'm fairly certain your hel lines wont fit correctly. I'm keeping my ABS so having new lines made for that as well. £150 for the lines and 3 hours labour to fit lines calipers and discs so just under £400

  7. Anyone know what the difference is between 1199 and 899 brake lines

  8. If there is a difference I'd imagine it's just the angle of the banjo on the caliper ends.

  9. Yeah that's what I've been told

  10. I should've bought the 1199 ones when they were on offer :joy: My 899 ones might be in the for sale section soon then

  11. The crossover pipe/hose are different part numbers. Doesn't mean they wont fit of course.
If they don't fit there's plenty of used ones on ebay, I doubt you'd notice any difference with the HEL ones tbh.

  12. Back to the orginal question ... I had the akro evo full system fitted when i bought my 959 new... put a few carbon bits on since... next bit will be the nrc tail tidy to get rid of awful plate holder indicators etc... really fancying some carbon wheels but i dont do track days so not sure if its worth it for the road

  13. Been collecting parts for my Final Edition.

Got a spare set of fairings and carbon rear cowl to get sprayed up to get red of the FE paint scheme...

Wheels arrived today so need to get them fitted.

And this is what she should look like, in homage to the fact it’s an R it will be red, but the rear cowls will be left with Carbon edges like the SL in the fact it has the SL motor.

The car gets a snow foam I never usually do the bike I normally soak it in muc off then after 5 mins rinse it off and wash with soapy water and a mit. I tend to use that muc off speed polish which is easy to use and over the winter take the fairing off and do it properly
