One owner bike...that should be much more reassuring than a fully stamped service book and 4 owners. I would anytime pay a little premium just to have a one owner bike, especially if possible to chat and see what kind of rider/person he is. So yes, imho is realistically priced.
S Kit was Dealer fit - mine was fitted with Magnesium Wheels, S Engine Kit, Ohlin's Rear Shock and Steering Damper, Carbon Bodywork and Full 50mm Termi System from new and I have all the standard bits bubble wrapped
Just to set the record straight chaps. There were only 27 officially imported 998s Mono's ever imported, 20 red and 7 yellow. Many Biposto's were made into mono's by changing the seats etc. As to engine internals, yes these motors were based on the 996R lumps so most of the internals were the same. They had Ti valves and Ti con rods but the rods were a slightly lower spec than the R models. If you get the chance to see inside a 998s motor it really is a thing of beauty.
https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1062522 Pricey Bayliss version of the S on Car and Classic - did these come to the UK officially?
So what do we reckon an FE Mono circa 11000 miles is worth? Whatever someone is willing to pay is the usual answer of course.
The 998 is a shrewd buisness move, it means 999 is not needed as already have that engine. But for the 'Holy Trinity' I NEED early 4 valve as well
