That explains why the engine management light isn't illuminated if it doesn't have the Nemesis TC fitted. Mine's on constantly as the bike thinks it has coil errors, due to the Nemesis system breaking into the coil circuits. The only way to stop this is to fit the Nemesis ECU. Mine has 191bhp at the rear wheel, no idea what that would be at the flywheel though. Probably 1000bhp, the way the thing feels.

I had the same thoughts myself. IMO it’s a travesty what’s been done to the original bike but I guess that was the fashion in Japan then. However, whoever did it has spent money fitting Ohlins and I reckon it’s a bargain, you just need the fairing panels which should be easy enough to pick up. Go for it.
