  4. Yeah, take the nuts & bolts, put them in a jar & cover them with cider vinegar. I put the lid the jar on so as to avoid spillages and evaporation. A day or so later all the rust is gone. Cheap & safe!

  8. Just been to pick up the top end for polishing the ports and then drop off to the powder coaters....unless he changes his mind the engine will go from silver to black.. Easier to keep clean...

  13. Cheers ET - i must confess i thought everyone might be a bit ...meh over it as its only a 125 and a commuter at that... were still in the downhill slope at the moment, but come friday it should start to turn around.

Engine builder mate said that the bottom end is proving to be a bit of a pain as they (Fowlers) are trying to locate some internal engine parts...bit unusual but, theyre yer go....just about to order some more rubber wheels....its ok as it is but i think i can get a better finish in there...ive only got the one chance while its apart so i may as well...

  14. Who can tell, im going to be switching as many fixings out as possible with stainless if i can....its not a 200bhp monster so im pretty sure i can switch out all the engine mount bolts with stainless also...at the end of the day my remit is to make it as durable as possible to the elements...
