probably me. but i was deffo reffering to a different up coming vote.... anyhoos, buy me a set of disks, mister.
Indeed I think more voting is inevitable, tick-tock. Happy to order you a set of discs - did I see your PayPal details posted previously
That’s a tricky question. I kept cleaning each bobbin until it was free enough to audibly click as I moved it. I cleaned each one by putting a nut and bolt through the middle and spinning it up with an electric screwdriver while spraying with Cillit Bang degreaser and mopping with kitchen towel. Cillit Bang because it cleans the muck but doesn’t contaminate the brakes or attack the paint. Loads of muck came out.
i will need to remove the disk mounting bolts, to get a wee look at what yer talking about, they look solidly mounted to the wheel with some kind of sprung shim. i can picture the mountings i think your talking about. but sumit tells me these are mounted diferently.
Are yours not a hollow bolt that attaches the disc to the carrier? No need to remove anything on mine .
Fully floating look like this with the bobbins (should be fitted to your 848) and you can spend lots to upgrade if not already fitted;
Not sure about the semi-floating ones but I believe you have to drill out the fully floating ones maybe liberal soaking with brake cleaner and 'wiggling' may get them suitably free? I don't think there should be much movement as they are only there to take up heat expansion during spirited braking
aye, i did give em a wee pull back and forth on each bolt. deffo slight movment on each. so, i guess you will be buying me a set of disks then. they where fine before i followed yer instructions.
I have some good discs for sale if you or whoever’s buying them is interested ... I’ll dig out pics if you are
