Most won't care I see after the BBC's Brexit, behind closed doors, has two more episodes but from the eu's side but on BBC 4 this time at 9pm-10pm tonight https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/brexit/9024806/theresa-may-insane-brexit-behind-closed-doors/
So with Jeremy 'the fence sitter' Corbyn continuing to frustrate the Guardianista, they're starting to sex up the Lib Dems https://www.theguardian.com/politic...s-lib-dems-claim-as-torch-carriers-for-remain Personally I think Vince needs more makeup
In the recent local elections, the Libs made big gains (for them) in councils taking seats away from the Tories. So a huge wave of "The Libs are back & Libs are resurgent" was plastered all over the papers. Then I read that in reality for example Chelmsford Essex, the Lib /Dems did take seats from the Tories, but their vote increased by less than 1000 votes -38K to 39K. Generaly (there will be exceptions) the Libs attracted marginally more votes than usual in Tory areas, but won because the Tory voters did vote. The turnout was 32%. The Tory vote was massively down. There is no Lib/ Dem comeback. There could be one in the future, perhaps there should be one soon, but I don't see Vince heralding any revival.
Vince (Cable) is a knob, I speak from personal experience having had a 1&1 discussion with him, he liked me though
@noobie good job finding those videos. I liked them. The beef I have with Bob Crowe is the hypocrisy of earning £145K and refusing to leave council house in order to make his house available for social housing. TB
That’s so insightful: being able to state the bleedin’ obvious with no hint of what he thinks we should do about it!
Reading back over this thread, you will find many posts that don't seem to accept "the bleedin obvious" at all...
I wonder if the momentum -ista's have discussed swapping their comrade alliance to a tree hugger alliance?
aye, but did you notice how busy i found myself when you walked though the door?.... in hindsight, i should of left you to talk to yon old fella, yer both from the same background, design engineer in the motor trade, amungst other things. tho he is old school. but pollar opposits politically and he aint afraid to tell yah. (for which he got a wee lecture for the other day).
