British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.

  2. In the recent local elections, the Libs made big gains (for them) in councils taking seats away from the Tories. So a huge wave of "The Libs are back & Libs are resurgent" was plastered all over the papers. Then I read that in reality for example Chelmsford Essex, the Lib /Dems did take seats from the Tories, but their vote increased by less than 1000 votes -38K to 39K. Generaly (there will be exceptions) the Libs attracted marginally more votes than usual in Tory areas, but won because the Tory voters did vote. The turnout was 32%. The Tory vote was massively down. There is no Lib/ Dem comeback. There could be one in the future, perhaps there should be one soon, but I don't see Vince heralding any revival.

  6. @noobie good job finding those videos. I liked them.

The beef I have with Bob Crowe is the hypocrisy of earning £145K and refusing to leave council house in order to make his house available for social housing.

  8. That’s so insightful: being able to state the bleedin’ obvious with no hint of what he thinks we should do about it!

  9. Reading back over this thread, you will find many posts that don't seem to accept "the bleedin obvious" at all...
