Seized Front Sprocket.

  1. and once the sprocket is off he will be able to fix that too. :p
its a method i have used to free seized wheels on hubs. i'm guessing the sprocket bolts will be renewed too so i would leave them in loose.

  2. With the couple I had to cut off, I found it necessary to remove a section (sector) like a pizza slice. This removed the tension on the sprocket and it fell off.

  5. Yes, more like an alternator case puller. You’ve already got a template for the hole centres as it’s the same as the lock washer.

Wind it tight then tap it with a big hammer.

Make sure there’s something soft to land on!

  6. This is because of Brexit, isn't it?

    Time for a re-think.

  8. Aha, Thurs (ie today) became Wednesday as the family had different plans for me for Thursday (ie today):(. Although as I type I’m trying to work out a way I can get back into the garage to attack it again:thinkingface:.
As far as Im aware I’ve never been buggered:astonished: but good idea I just might have to play with the order of words:upyeah:

  9. I will sneak out to the garage and take a photo as it stands at present

  12. Yep, this is all the fault of Brexit:eek:.

I have given the sprocket more than enough time to leave but it refuses to do so. No more negotiations! As you will see from the picture of a recent survey (to be posted below) it is split into 2 distinct camps roughly along the lines 52/48 but still flatly refuses to leave :(
