  1. What's licence details got to do with biying/selling?

  2. What's the average amount of buying and selling?

  3. I've bought about 20 and sold 1 in 8 years

  4. Cars aren't really either. They are harder and more expensive to look after.

  5. I don't know, never heard of anyone getting pinged for that.
Best way to make definate money on a vehicle is to purchase a limited run one that requires a letter of intent to dealer. Buy it, receive it, then flip it, problem is if you do that they won't sell you another special one again.
Gt Porches, certain Italian ones. If your lucky enough to get first run of a GT3RS your making a guaranteed 50.

  6. How do HMRC have your driving licence data, they don't have mine ?

    And whats average ?

  8. They do. And your passport details.

  9. It’s incredibly difficult. Even for the govt, use of personal data is restricted. And a person and a company are often very different.

  10. No they don't now stop being silly ...

  11. Added to the fact they don’t harvest nor revenue personal data like that, most ‘black market traders’ never register the vehicle in their name. They simply retain the slips and pass on when sold.

  14. Try and set up a personal tax account with HMRC and one of the pieces of information they use to verify you are who you say you are, is your passport number.

  15. On that government gateway portal I think I ticked a box once so that they could use my passport photo which they had online to go on my new driving license without me having to do anything so the info must be there I just don’t know the method they would have to use to get it cos I approved that by box ticking.
Not stirring a hornets nest but just saying

  16. they ask permission each time you apply to use, and there is a fair processing notice in place. There will be conditions where they can match data, normally following a court order as its a public body or as part on investigation of some kind.

once the data is used, for the purpose it’s agreed to be used for, it must be destroyed, archived (normally anonymously) or otherwise obfuscated.

we are not quite (yet) at the stage duke thinks we are where they can track a citizen from where they go (car) where they walk (face) and what they buy (cards & face). Thank god!

  19. The cameras on main roads are logging your car reg / so those movements are easily known, though I don't know what the restrictions are on accessing that information. The CCTV is ubiquitus. Added to that is Live face recognition...

I seem to remember that individuals are allowed to buy and sell three vehicles a year before any taxes are due, and depending on circumstances this is waived?

  20. Think it was always up to 6
