So the Tory manifesto is planning to remove the right to strike. Coincidence that this is happening as we are leaving the EU? so what do you people who said this would not happen, say now?
Who said that? And what exactly is in the manifesto (have you deliberately abbreviated it perhaps) - minor detail anyhoo compared with all the labour pish
More promises from the magic money tree. At least the back to 60 women will be happy while the country is in financial ruin. I like your sense of equality.
The only bit I can find is this? We will require that a minimum service operates during transport strikes. Rail workers deserve a fair deal, but it is not fair to let the trade unions undermine the livelihoods of others. is there anything else? To be fair, the rmt largely striking for almost all of december has done corbyn no favours
https://www.ukpublicspending.co.uk/include/ukgs_chartDp12t.png I think this chart shows that National Debt has risen from 65% GDP to about 85% GDP under the Tory watch since 2010, despite austerity. So, it looks like "Torys are Us" have been funding all those beautiful tax cuts with borrowing, cos they've not been spending the money borrowed on NHS, Police, Education, Infrastructure etc. So it looks like we're all paying for the tax cuts which everyone who benefits from the tax cuts says generates more tax. In conclusion, as much as I dislike Corbin and Abbott (especially Abbot) if anyone is going to fuck over the country I'd rather they do it spending on stuff for everyone and not just on tax cuts. TB
It is the right if the individual to strike at any time and that is being removed from all individuals. those of you who cannot understand this should be grateful you have me to explain this to you.
What is fascism in simple terms? Fascism is a set of right-wing political beliefs that includes strong control of society and the economy by the state, a powerful role for the armed forces, and the stopping of political opposition. . right wing beliefs. brexiteer in the tory farrage mold. . strong control of society. tory and farrages approach to the act of union and rolling back on devolution to facilitate a Brexit we didn't vote for. . strong control of the economy. barnet formula and GERS. the refusal to devolve economic leavers that can be used to stimulate an economy not based on banking and services. . a powerful role for the military. well, lets wait and see. . stopping political opposition. as a brexiteer you have seen how it works against you. in a traditionally two party state. FPTP with the 2nd or 3rd biggest unelected house in the world, where in the uk you actually have more centralisation and less local democracy than you did 50years ago. all the Nordic states, and plenty on the continent too have much more in the way of local democracy and representation. . Brexit reduces representation for the UK in todays world, hands power back to a parliament that hasn't modernised in 300 years, tho it has been promised for the last 100. proving that british sovereignty is not power in your hands, its sovereignty (power) in parliaments hands. totally at odds with nearly two out of every three people I know. and some of the writings that underpin the UK. Fascism, in a UK styli.
I'm just going to pick on one point here and that's because its the one I'm most familiar with. The NHS wastes more money than it uses. It is poorly run by people lining their own pockets and if it was a private business it would have gone bust in no time. My other half is a nurse in the ophthalmic department. She left the NHS to work for a private company as an agency nurse as she was so disillusioned with the NHS. The company is paid by the NHS to take up the slack. She gets paid £250 per day plus travel expenses and overnight hotel accommodation over a certain travel distance. The consultant gets paid £300 per patient for the first 8 patients, £600 per patient for the next 8 and more than that for any more patients, he normally does 20-24 cataract operations per day and works two days at the weekend. There is a whole team working with him and I have only quoted the figures I know but the weekend including other staff and admin is a ridiculous amount. This is just the ophthalmic department in one region and this is happening in all departments across the country. Throwing more money at the NHS will never improve the service unless it has a complete shakeup from the top down and that will never happen.
As an aside. When the consultants do cataract operations for the NHS they only do about 8 operations per day.
I see the point your making. However, for all its faults it is free for everyone. I'm not aware of a similar service that operates more efficiently. I hope your not proposing a USA style of health care. TB
that was a description of your NHS btw. everyone is competing with each other with no joined up thinking. Dr Philippa Whitford gives a great explanation why the increasing privatisation in England leads to higher costs for less productivity and quality of care.
Your problem is you are easily duped by your masters 1) champagne socialist you continually pander to the accusatory mantra of “champagne socialist” when someone who has a few quid suggests we should all pay a bit more to help those at the bottom 2) politics of envy this is your most reprehensible bile. When someone who has nothing complains about societies inequalities can you remember the point at which you decided that the inequality debate should be completely shut down?
