i make a mean chicken pie... some may say it aint a pie coz it dont have pastry.. just a lid of (in this order from bottom to top) cabbage, sliced ham or bacon, mashed potato then cheese.. a french bird also taught me to use a garlic clove (skinned/crushed a lil) to grease ya pie dish with instead of oil.. the other key to any good pie/stew/casserole is roast any veg you may be using before putting it in the pie..
I’ll pan fry it off with the chicken. Stock & summer for 25 min or so then in pie dish and oven. Recipe I used last rime was OK so give it another go
sounds good! but, im telling ya, while ya stock is reducing and chicken frying, roast off ya onion, peppers, chunks of garlic, carrots , leeks and anything not bolted down then fuck it in with ya browned chicken and stock and put in pie..
