The only main difference afaik is the engine, the ST4 having the 996 engine and the ST2 having a 944 2 valve, the frame is the same iirc. Carefully positioned for you and the Forum. Not my garden I hasten to add, the seller’s garden.
thats a bloody good buy! i have a mate in Germany who would probably pay you 500 quid on top , unseen, if it is a good runner.. but i say chop it and make it pretty. like exige says, do it right as there are many ugly ones out there,, good base for a cafe though
Isn’t pedantry illegal? Just asking so I know Thanks for the info. The fella who sold me the ST2 also had an ST4S which he told me had a 996 engine. Not being familiar with the ST range I, wrongly, assumed all ST4s had the 996 engine. I stand corrected and have learnt something, cheers Harry
Thanks, I’ll give it a good, covers off, deep clean and see what I’ve got. It runs absolutely fine, in fact pretty good for a 22 year old bike with 56Kkm and the belts & valves were done just 6 months/2000km ago. Then I’ll run it for awhile then decide.
sounds like the way forward... for that money ya cant lose really.. like to see ya doing a special though!
Rear shock mount on my trials bike has a bit of play so I thought I’d replace the bushes. Two hours later and the bolt still won’t budge. I’ve tried everything, impact gun, heat, breaker bar but the thing won’t move. It’s back together now, I can live with a couple of millimetres play for the time being.
Sprocket Man to the rescue....... what’s the address Wassy, I have experience in these situations, trust me
