  2. The only main difference afaik is the engine, the ST4 having the 996 engine and the ST2 having a 944 2 valve, the frame is the same iirc.

Carefully positioned for you and the Forum. Not my garden I hasten to add, the seller’s garden.

  3. Apologies for pedantry but the ST4 is 916 cc where the ST4s is 996 cc (and annoying immobiliser)

  11. Isn’t pedantry illegal? Just asking so I know:)

Thanks for the info:upyeah:. The fella who sold me the ST2 also had an ST4S which he told me had a 996 engine. Not being familiar with the ST range I, wrongly, assumed all ST4s had the 996 engine. I stand corrected and have learnt something, cheers Harry:)

  12. Thanks, I’ll give it a good, covers off, deep clean and see what I’ve got. It runs absolutely fine, in fact pretty good for a 22 year old bike with 56Kkm and the belts & valves were done just 6 months/2000km ago:D. Then I’ll run it for awhile then decide.

  18. Rear shock mount on my trials bike has a bit of play so I thought I’d replace the bushes. Two hours later and the bolt still won’t budge. I’ve tried everything, impact gun, heat, breaker bar but the thing won’t move. It’s back together now, I can live with a couple of millimetres play for the time being.
