Just over £500 for value clearance check and adjusted and ECU replaced with a used one ! . Had full report on clearances and new caps that wee used
Check the ignition pickup at the crank, there is a test you can do with a multimeter at the igniter boxes (search on the forum). I had one that started to fail and got intermittent firing problems on one cylinder and caused me to chase my tail until it finally gave up the ghost and I could diagnose it properly. Electrexworld part (about £50 IIRC) and a bit of soldering later and all has been well for the last 5 years or so. That said, all the other suggestions are valid too. Sod's Law says that you start to eliminate fuelling and it turns out to be sparks and visa versa
Do you think fitting a power commander would help to sort out the air /fuel ratio if this is the problem ? Thans
I wonder how they justified replacing the ECU? I know it’s sometime ago, but that isn’t right that they replaced it possibly on a whim and didn’t give you the old one back, particularly as it hasn’t solved it, as said. I’d be tempted to phone them even now.
