Got one of these this morning. Seems pretty well made and super bright unlike the morons filling their trolleys with bog roll and bread buns. https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/p/car-care/parkside-led-work-light/p30444

I'll report back here if I succeed ....
A few years back we dropped into Aldi to pick up a few of their Mars bar and Snickers look alike (you will be hard pushed to tell the difference). in addition to the choc bars I came out with an arc welder. I will shortly be replacing the fuel filter on the bike and while I am groping around in the tank will have a good look with my Aldi borescope which again prompted that perennial question “what are you going to use that for”. The answer, of course, is “until I use it I don’t know” but the best strategy is to make sure that it’s first use is to do something for your dearly beloved.
Yes , you are bang-on right there ! I've had a good play with it , including overnight on the car , which barely cranked over yesterday ..... .... probably because it's been standing unused for a fortnight or more . I'm now testing the recovery mode on an AGM battery that a mate gave to me months ago ( because it wouldn't reliably crank his bike ) . But the destructions that came with it are a bit unclear regarding AGM .
An AGM battery is just an ordinary lead/acid battery that has been constructed using a more efficient design which enables less acid and more plates to be used which should give greater performance and longevity. The one I am using is 10 years old and still going strong. The only downside is you will pay a premium for that technology.
I saw this in Lidl today , and I've been following this thread - https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/what-tools-do-you-carry.79895/ I see that Leatherman keeps coming up ..... which is a smart call , if only for the usable pliers ! Anyway , this isn't one , but it's a pretty good copy , and it's a hefty chunk of stainless steel for only £5 There is a thrilling online review from some " Mr Excitement " type of guy .....
