I bet Mario would have got a right fucking off his bosses if they ever found out he’d used the Ti rods and all associated / expensive parts when he shouldn’t have.
Yeah just doesn’t make sense...mind you have you serr Ed n the quality of his builds... gearbox shimming too tight cam timing all over the place...
I'd say mario is breaking his bollocks laughing over breakfast that's all thema idiotas ona ducati foruma area ona bouta conarodas again
According to the parts lists the 996r and 998s have the same Crank Rods Piston Inlet valves Gearbox what exactly was special about the 996r engine again...
Ducati did a 998 Troy McClure special? I think I remember that bike from the films ‘Calling all Quakers’ and ‘Christmas Ape’. Must be worth a few crates of Duff nowadays.....
So could it be correct that the 996R had Ti Valves, Ti Con Rods and Sand Cast Cases and the 998S didn't, apart from some that used up some spare 996R parts hanging around - like the first ones produced that went to the press?
https://www.ducatiomaha.com/pages/ducati-oem-parts Ball ache for me to look on my phone. 996r and 998s numbers are different. Even the cranks are drawn differently
