early did, (Mk 1 and 2) later had a kind of half and half with strut upper buried inboard but reverting back to seperate top wishbone. It was terrible in comparison (for me anyway) - punters wanted "soft" and so they got it..

The pinto engine was fine in all cars except the Pinto car albeit slightly underpowered in 1600 cc (my mothers Capri)
