Im trying to get one of these kits at the mo, they "should" be back in stock soon.. I wonder how much heavier they are than the wet clutch? Any way I may also have a shiny new Sigma for sale Your bike in next week for fitting?
Well clutch is in, but bad news:frown: the selector spring in the gear box has snapped so another hours labour as the other side comes off to replace a £2 part. Must have happened recently as there's no bits on the sump plug. Don't fancy gong fond donny with bits of spring floating round the engine!
I was under the impression that the spring was not actually 'inside' the engine but you had to remove the alternator or whatever and it was behind that. Naturally I will be totally wrong.
That is correct. 1 point to you. It can, I believe get sucked into the gear box or if in small enough pieces go through the oil ways into the engine.
Pas far as I know I haven't been. You can still ride the bike, the lever just doesn't return to its normal position. Selector spring may be the wrong term. I know there was a lot about this on the old site we used to go on.
Not that loud tbh. Probably get louder as the plates bed in. Clutch action isn't as light but bearable. Still getting used to it, only done 10 miles so quite hard to gauge really.
Oy what you trying to say.... Mines on order....lol (will keep the Sigma to one side....lol No no just kidding if you want to buy a spare mate just let me know.. )
Yeah always get pinned down mate but PLEASE do butt in.....lol Took me 25mins to get to Loomies then an hour and a half to walk across the car park....lol
Whats with the rearsets there Art? Loads of levers and pulleys...looks like a Michalangela contraption! Lol
Looking good Arthur, just spay the silver collars black, will contrast nice with the carbon cover and the red pressure plate. Did you fit it or Snells ? Just wondering what it was like to do.
Rearsets are DP bradders, don't mind them but would not buy them again, did have the corse rearsets but moved them on.. you don't see the linkage when the fairings are mounted.. Yes Ian I fitted the clutch with some loan tools, you WILL need the Ducati service tool to remove the main gear from the crank, also the nuts need to be tight, 190nm tight... It's a reasonable job takes around three hours, the stack height needs some adjustment as it has a reasonable amount of engine braking as it comes needs some more slip to be in the same ball park as the Sigma, tbh the clutch is as you'd expect for a dry unit, harsh to pull away etc, lever action is a little heavyier even with the DP slave, noise is propper Ducati dry clutch.. Im happy with it but the Sigma is a better ride IMO you get much more slipper action at the lever than he Sigma too.. Overall if you want the look, easy service and correction and the chinky chinky sound then it's worthwhile...
