I don’t have the footage bud! It was shown on motors tv! Hottrax! Mahoosive highside lap 1 craners! I did watch it a few weeks after when it came on tv! Sat there with 2 broken arms and 2 broken legs! Quite a few ops on my left wrist in particular! One of my lads tried to find it a few years ago but couldn’t for some reason!
I’ve used something similar like the front wheel chocks you posted and then bolted 2 down to a scaffolding plank which was cut to fit the width of the van. Transported many bikes in this fashion with normally 2 bikes side by side and never had any issues. Just a thought you might be able to try.
I put the chock in loose then run a ratchet strap across it from the front 2 anchor points behind the bulkhead so that when you pull the bike out the strap holds the chock tight to the bulkhead. Then when I want to take it out all I have to do is remove one ratchet strap
These are great in conjunction with a wheelchock. rear wheel tie down belt, orange, € 24,90 (racefoxx.com)
i fancy some of those airline tie down hooks for the strip along the floor I’ve got in the van, some helmet hooks, some...
If yer looking proper ramps at any point, Ive got a one of these going. https://www.braunability.eu/en/products/ramps/tailboard-ramps/two-part/ Cant remember if its the 19 or the 21, but can check in the back of the shed if needed. Fits great in the back of a transporter.
Went into work today to have a play around with van setup. Wasn’t happy with just having the front stand loose, and remembered I run a fabrication company! So designed a bracket, fired up the laser to cut it, folded and welded some gussets in with extra fixing points (my mate did the welding!). Planned it so the stands bolted to the upstand which hold them solid, but they can come out with 4 bolts in 2 minutes to clear the back. Loaded the bikes up and went for a quick spin and works flawlessly, really happy! The van is awesome in general too!
What about mounting the chock on a board and hold the board in with https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07V2L2TRN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_ckYaGbTBEESE7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Maybe, not sure if anyone would actually search for it to buy though. Could do but I wanted to have the option of a completely empty van easily. Mounting the stands to a board it a faff and also a bulky thing to store out of the van.
That would depend on how you word the advert as to whether it would be found, if you included some key words that would attract someone not necessarily looking for that specific item but looking to transport a track day bike.
As always it’s just price! Without me making anything, if it’s powder coated which I can sort it’s probably getting on for £100. And a bit of hassle to not make any money with post etc. What would it be worth to someone?
I’m useless on pricing these kind of things but I appreciate the work involved for me I’d be happy to pay 100 powder coated!
Have you got a transit then? Where are you based, posting would be a pain to be honest! Could do a lot cheaper and easier natural finish, then you could paint yourself or leave it?
