1098 in and old dress....

  1. it still says 748r as thats what it originally started out as...........although if you are clever it does say testastretta along side it now........

  2. How about 1048? Personally I'd just put some 748 stuck-ups on it and have done with it in the true style of a sleeper. But as above a little subtlety goes a long way

  3. Subtle is my middle name........:biggrin:

  4. Nice work mate, get some pictures of it with no clothes on!! I'd just put OEM 748 decals on it, if it were mine of course.

  5. Top work there! Loving the look, don't know about decals, it probably would look good with some, why not get some vinyl ones cut out, try them, then if you don't like, just take them off? you could always laquer them over when you are happy with the look?

My 'sleeper' still has the oldest 750ss decals on the side panels. At a track day last year, some bloke I overtook (on a R6, HA!) said that he thought it was a 851! It must have been the square headlamp.

  6. Yeah subtle just like yours :upyeah:

  7. Lol mine is about as subtle as a boom box in a library.

  9. Haha,

I don't think you'll be going anywhere discreetly on it.......no illicit liaisons on that m8....

  10. Haha I've tried and it's kind of obvious really, curtains start a twitchin'

  12. Liking your style. Is the fairing the later type to fit bits in or is that what you had/wanted?

  13. Cheers.

I wanted the later ones because I like them, but they do work better for wrapping all the new plumbing

  16. What's the idea of the fairing panels with no rad ducts in them?

    Tey look, abit, well, odd.

  17. they are the 996R and 998 model ones.................

  18. Ah right! Pardon the ignorance.

From a purely aesthetic perspective, I prefer the ones with the rad ducts.

Great project though, a bit like Chilli's 998/999 race bike mash-up that annoyed Ducati so much :)
