From my saddo collection of sales literature: Ray Dentith, the owner of a small local bike shop near here, had one as a track bike, but I've not seen it for quite a while. The Silver is brighter than it looks in the images, but isn't that bright.
You can see in the images that they came with the SL seat unit and pipes, but also what can't be seen is the underslung floating rear caliper on a Torque arm to the engine.
This is pretty much the perfect 999 to my eye. I'd hardly change a thing. Gorgeous bike, thanks for posting! Is it yours?
BTW, does anyone have any decent pics, meaning resolution and decent size, of McGuinness on the Monster Mob 998 at the TT in '03, i think it was?
Better late than never, hopefully. Just removed both instruments from my outside sitting uglies, you can see the moisture from the drop in temperature despite full blown dry sunshine today.
Yes, I put bike covers over them, they’ld be proper ravaged by now if not, even a mini blanket over the instrument through the winter, but when it starts to really drop then best bring them in, I ought to do the same with the ECUs, but where do you draw the line I’ll get The whole bikes in the living room soon.
