  1. No cops here chap… though I remember something about gathering all evidence and I thought you were better than name calling ‍♂️
Anyway you sold the old Akra system?..pm me

  2. once a cop always a cop pal. You claim a cops pension, you’re a cop.

I thought you’d be able to take a bit back seen as you are more than happy to dish it out, but feel free to evidence it. Might help the next time you are banished from the forum :joy:

  4. A build thread is always appreciated! adds a welcome distraction from the political sh*te that dominates this forum most of the time ;-) And my question on the Hel brakes was really only out of interest, I know Stylema are super highly rated, but I wondered if the Hel are billet for example and lots lighter, because if you saved half a kilo from the calipers it's still very welcome on the end of the fork legs.

  5. i fully understand there will be questions about certain decisions I make on the build, that’s natural. Suppose I just wanted to try the Hel calipers out really, I can’t say they work any better or worse than the brembo’s… I’m no professional rider pushing the bike anywhere near to its limits. But I wanted to bypass the ABS as it was experiencing it pumping the lever in certain, yet rare circumstances and running me off line. (and I couldn’t find any cheap GP4RX’s for sale :joy:)

I’m printing some brake cooling ducts as well… not that the caliper ever gets anywhere near hot enough…. But I can, so why not :joy:

  6. Pitbull Trailer Restraint

With the new trailer of got off tiny Ron Jolley it came with a pitbull trailer restraint system for his non Ducati motorcycle :joy:

the pins to adapt the system to work with the V4 are around $200 with import taxes and shipping so as I need to get the bike to Nelly tomorrow to get the map off the ECU I’ve decided to make my own..

I ordered 2x 200mm 28mm diameter steel bars (£12.53 per bar on ebay - https://ebay.us/Xd4Ke3) which fit the pitbull pin holes perfect. I’ve measured up and am printing some test sleeves to pop on the steel bar and slid into each side of the hub.

    the sleeve dimensions

    (Left) Smaller sleeve - 35mm tall, 39.9mm OD with a 28.1mm ID

    (Right) Bigger sleeve - 70mm tall, 41.9mm OD with a 28.1mm ID

So knocked up a quick design

And I’ll be back in 4 hours when they are done printing to see how they fit :upyeah:

Bit of an update, 35mm sleeve fits really well on the bar but maybe needs a slight increase in the external diameter…

Still waiting for the 70mm

  15. Got to keep in mind not every decision Ducati makes is done to make the best product they can make. There's a boatload of accountants penny-pinching to maximize their profits so it's perfectly fine making changes to improve on the product. ;)

  16. Clutch Dry Clutch Conversion Kit

Been a bit busy over the past week or so but some Italian goodness arrived today from sunny Germany…

I’ve wanted to go a dry clutch conversion since my first V4 build but never quite got round to it. Can’t wait to get it in… is it spring yet?

Guess that’s my weekend sorted. Might make a video of me fitting it, might not tho :joy:

will definitely update on here when it’s in tho.

  17. You have to pay Micky mouse tax etc on that? I keep looking at some stuff from Italy but if I add all the tax and fees it’s not worth it…

  18. Haven't had anything from ParcelForce or DHL yet about import charges. Ill let you know if something comes through tho.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  19. There’s a d170 brand new, Italy seller, £2100…..

  20. Electronics

As my build is around a 2018 base model V4 I can only get the EVO2 software update as opposed to the EVO3 available to 2020 omwards models.

map down to @nelly at Cornerspeed to distract him from the mountain of service work he has so he can load some ducati electronic wizardry onto the bike.

    CA1B475C-172B-443F-A4EB-A29F3ADE0021.jpeg

The EVO2 software upgrade for those who haven’t heard or used it is a ducati performance upgrade available from ducati. It’s not cheap but enhances the electronics and having used it before it is an incredible update.

Upload completed and bike (well, 3/4 of a bit) rolled back into the van

    next a clutch swap :)
