Fuel reserve mystery

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by freshage, Feb 10, 2014.

  1. I can get approx 100m on my 1198. Then 20m on reserve when yellow light comes on.

100m depends on how mad I am riding. It can get down to ~85m (ish)

...good video of the exhaust valve operating (as it should) and maintenance tips.

Fuel range / consumption - great monitoring tool ;-)
If you're the kind of person who likes to track your fuel consumption this is handy...

  3. mine gets c120-140 and the light comes on and I always look for fuel around 150 regardless. But Ike I say even after 180 miles I still only stuck 17l or so in it. I haven't done a long distance tour yet, this is al fast-ish A road type stuff, but imagine on a run at mway sppeds got to 200 miles capable

  4. Just out of curiosity, cause I've recently bought a 2010 model and I'm having the same problem, how did the OP solve it? Thank you.

  5. Must be a record for resurrecting a dead thread!

  7. Could well be a record but if Mike had started a new thread you can guarantee some t**t would make a comment about using the search function!

  8. It's usually 10% of the tanks capacity that is a given extra from my experiences. So my 30L tank is actually 33.5L when I run the bike dry as I carry fuel to reset my tripometer for super accuracy.

  9. This was a long time ago, on my very first multistrada. It had a fuel sensor fault which I never got round to replacing as ducati wouldn't cover it if I remember correctly?
