  3. Renthal chains need a different Quad Stake peening tool.

  4. Can anyone recommend a good quality kit that can flare sort links and stake the solid links? Only one I can seem to find is the motion pro PBR?

  5. I replaced the chain and sprockets for the first time. I used the AfAM and a grinder. The AFAM have a YouTube video to show how easy it is , And it was . £15 , job done

Just be carefull to measure the Dia of flared pin and not to over do it and squash the plate in too far. I went in too far and the x-ring popped out of the side of the link slightly. I was going to redo it but it seems to have settled back in. I thougth there was a stop meant you could not go too far but maybe the casting was a bit out.

Maybe as other have said when removing chain grind link pin ends off then press pins out.

    Cheers Gaz

  11. Seems like the right place to add...

I once had a pin that I was flaring split and a small chunk flew off like it came out of a gun...it went past my right ear so fast I heard a whizzing noise...if it had gone in my eye I would have been in serious trouble.

So make sure you wear safety glasses when flaring the pins! :upyeah:
