I have used ACTronics, which is based in the UK to sort out the ECU on my MV. They also fix dashboards. Whilst the website is very car focused, they do bike stuff. Suggest you try giving them a call : https://www.actronics.co.uk/
I tried speaking to this crowd, but they aren't able to help. At the minute it is getting booked in with Ducati to see if they can fix it, but they have already checked and won't be able to order a new dash unit if it comes to that, as "it is not available" according to them. I'm sure that this will be a massive issues for a lot of 2010 multistrada bikes, which must be getting close to 99,999KM. I understood that Ducati had a policy of replacing the dash on any bikes when they maxed out the odometer?
Bit of an update.... I took the bike to Ducati - their only suggestion is a new dash (£850) plus the new dash won't work with old fuel sender so I'll need one of those (£150), plus fitting. So well over £1k to fix a small electrical glitch! I have a plan B, which is to send it to Netherlands to Carmo Electrics, who think that they can fix it, but it will require cutting open the dash, so won't be a perfect job. Before doing that though, I seen a dash on ebay which I understood would be a direct replacement. I bought it (not cheap) and tried fitting it today, but it doesn't seem to work right. The lights up the side light up in the usual start up sequence, but the LCD doesn't display any info (although it does light up). The bike starts and runs, but everything is a bit strange - for instance the indicators flash like they're in slow motion. I then discovered that there is a difference in the part numbers - my dash is 406.1.078.5A, and the one I bought is 406.1.078.4A. I'm not sure if the dash I bought was faulty, or if the different part number means that they aren't compatible. Just before I send it back, is there anything that I'm getting wrong? Like could a bit of electrical cleaner and a scrub on the pins, or anything silly like that potentially make the new unit work!? My other thought is to cut the two dash units open and see if there is perhaps an obvious "odometer chip" in the ebay dash that I could perhaps transfer over to my dash. Has anybody had any experience in breaking these open!?
I think it would be better to return it. Once you cut it open it might still not work and then you couldn’t send it back anymore?
I think that I'll probably just return it, unless I can find out some advice or guide online suggesting that it might not be too difficult to swap.
You bought the wrong one and it's not going to work. Keep an eye on eBay as they do come up. I bought and sold a new one I never bothered to fit. Dealer bought it from me for £300.
The problem is that there seems to be about 10 different part numbers for dash units that are all supposed to be for 2010-13 ABS multistrada, but is seems like they're not interchangeable. It was hard enough to find one dash unit, which makes finding one with the exact same revision number seem impossible. Even buying a brand new one from Ducati seems like it would have it's issues (changing fuel sender as a minimum). If I knew for definite that there was just one chip that stored the mileage information, then I would happily open the two dash units and swap the chip over. I got the replacement dash off ebay for £180 (which I thought wasn't too bad), and my dash looks like it's either for the bin or going to need to be cut open to fix anyway, so it's not really the cutting open that worries me - it's more that there's a very good chance that I won't have a notion what I'm looking at after I crack them open! If I could get a bit of advice on that then I'd give it a go.

I tried that one, but need to have an Italian mobile phone to get registered, or even to contact the seller. Not sure if there are any Italians on here, but if anybody could help I'd definitely go for that one.
I'd put a post on the main forum, Ducati General Discussions, asking for help from any Italian members, bound to be someone.
As it seems to be the only used option on the planet I'd try anything to save spending £1000 on a new unit!
I didn't get much joy with buying the Italian dash, and after speaking with Carmo about splitting the dash units myself I've decided to let the experts do it! Dash unit is now shipped of to Netherlands. Hopefully they know what they are doing and I will have a fixed dash unit back on by bike before too long!
