I disagree. I’ve discovered there is an inversely proportional relationship between the number of bikes owned and the number of miles ridden. The most likely explanation for this phenomenon is the ballachingly burdensome amount of admin involved in making sure insurance, MOT, tax and servicing is up to date and the bikes’ batteries are all charged. The relationship also scales logarithmically, so while 2 or 3 bikes are ridden for a reasonable number of miles, by the time you reach 5 or 6, you’re basically running a museum.
Me too. I’m on 7 or 8. The only one I ride with any regularity is this one, mostly because it doesn’t have a battery that can go flat!
Yes 7 Mine all have mot and insurance and I tax half of them and then swap to the other half, I do at least 1000 miles on each but much more on several of them except the Nsr250 which is a bastard . It does feel like a full time job keeping them all road ready though sometimes
I have four, only three are ready to go, the other needs a battery charge, tyre’s checking and should be ready. I’m swapping my Multistrada V4S Travel & Radar for an ex demo Rally in January, hoping for a couple of big European rides this year and would like the extra range.
Fancy getting more on the road and using as more everyday transport this year. So likely another in its way. Short list Multi, K1300S, 954 blade…eclectic mix of candidates
I’ve got to wait for the snow to clear before I can get it picked up and transported across the country…. It’s a replacement daily ride for a V4 Tuono now I’m over 60 and 175bhp is ridiculous for me.
I sold my 1200s Monster and kept the charming 900ss, plenty of hp to get the heart racing. Many happy miles
I never have to worry about wheelieing* my old 900SS into a hedge at 100mph, that’s for sure! * - how do you spell this anyway?
I kept looking at that one for sale on here. Don’t know if he sold it. I enjoyed my ST2 and having a 998 on my monster know it’s enough for touring
