Is The Game Up ?

  1. And not just the engine noise but the engine characteristics play a huge part in the riding experience of (different) motorcycles.

    Compare the feel of e.g. a V4 Panigale, a V4 Diavel, a Bevel, a Yamaha 900 triple, a GS, a Honda NC750, a Suzuki GSXR, a Harley... etc

  2. The difference is you spend that time every single time you fill up. I don’t, in the past year I have used public chargers once a month max, all the rest have been a few seconds. I am not irritated but somewhat bored by repetition of the same old tropes that don’t match reality. I have been away for a few days with work, covered over 2000 miles with less than 50 minutes on public chargers. Total cost £28. Car fun to drive? :sob: I have had all sorts of cars, including kit cars, Porsche turbos. Lotus, TVR. Nothing comes close to two wheels and EVs are just as much fun as any car I owned. Pissing off saddos with bean can exhausts being a particular high point :joy: Interesting that you consider not accepting BS as rude, sadly all too prevalent in the modern world. Far too many- ‘You don’t accept my uninformed viewpoint therefore you are being rude to me’. I will post my real world experience of EV ownership, if that offends you, oh well, never mind, I’m sure you will get over it (or Google some other rubbish).

  3. I’ll never go back to ICE cars now, if you have a garage or driveway to charge at home it’s a no brainer. Wake up every morning to a full tank with over 350 miles of range, for my driving I almost never need public charging. Electric is just far more enjoyable driving, immense power immediately available on tap.

Not sold on electric motorbikes though, bikers are such an insignificantly small source of pollution that they should honestly be exempt from Euro emmission regulations. If the vast cost sunk in fiddling engines to meet arbitrary carbon numbers hadn’t driven the cost of bikes up we might see more people on bikes and less single occupant cars swamping the roads

  4. EV’s are wank. And that’s the end of it. There :D

And as for everyone frapping themselves over the amaaaazing acceleration, manufacturers will 100% dial down such amazingness once the state have coaxed enough mugs into them. Double there.

You can shove EV’s up yer arse. Triple there. :p

  5. I tempted to buy one of these TBH to replace my Diesel Vito, i'll try and find what it's range is.

  6. Whilst my car is only a hybrid, I much prefer driving it in EV mode. Instant smooth power with no break that you will never get in any petrol engine.

  7. Interesting. Do you think you would feel the same about a bike?

  8. No idea til i try one.
I appreciate that sound is way more part of a bike than a car but no doubt it wouldn't be difficult to get used to it if the riding experience was better.
