Just Collected! ERROR DSS!!

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Andybow, Sep 4, 2013.

  1. Yes, turning both bolts #1 (p175 of manual) clockwise (for about 2 minutes) has brought the beam down. I did this against the garage wall so at least the beam is pointing down now but I will not know if its the required 90% at 10m until tonight.

  2. Really happy! NOT
    what a load of pants!
so after picking up my gt last Wednesday and having ridden it for about 2 hours it has been at Riders in bridgewater since they collected it last week. Now they said they will probably have it until next week as they need parts for 2 x censors which Are fucked!
not a happy bunny! No one from there sales has phoned me to see if I,m happy with the bike, or offered me anything as a sweetener or apologised !
i have had better service from companies where I'm spending a lot less money!

  3. Sorry to hear that Andy, shame you dont live near Manchester as their after sales customer care is fantastic

  4. Are these the two gold-ish cross head screws at the back of the lights?

  5. My headlights were way out and was being flashed, simple enough job to adjust them yourself but you would you would think checking the lights would be part of the PDI at the dealers

  6. That is really bad luck. If it is a 2013 Skyhook model, get Riders to check for service updates. It could just be a wiring issue. My dealer received an update the day AFTER they had replaced a £600 accelerometer. Once it is sorted you'll soon forgive the bike. It's amazing. I've done 7,700 miles on mine in less than five months.

  7. I was referring to the screws that adjust the headlamps vertically (up/down), these are black not gold. They are near a gold frame but not the ones connected to the gold frame. I can post a photo if your stuck, I know I was for a bit, not been a 10 minute job for me. I used a 8mm socket actually rather than a screw driver.

  8. You would, and yours is not an isolated incident either.

  9. What amazes me is I have my own business which I employ 6 staff, we constantly bend over backwards to make sure our customers receive great service! I would be on the phone ASAP if there was anything wrong. It seems a lot of companies don't give a monkeys about customers once the deal is done.
also the sales in our shop are never as high as a motorbike and seeing as I paid for one of the most expensive bikes out there, you would expect some sort of decent service! The sad thing is, this is my first ducati, and my first bike from riders!
cheers for the feedback though! I know it's not every bike that suffers problems, it's more the service part that fucks me off!

  10. This is really disappointing to read, I feel for you. It's not 'character' or 'just part of the experience ho ho' it's crap. Ducati/Audi need to concentrate on fixing existing models before launching more. Andy sounds just like the sort of customer Ducati want to attract and retain, it's not looking too good so far is it!

  11. But it sounds like riders

  12. it's not Riders fault they're waiting for parts or Riders fault the bikes not developed. They want a happy customer don't they, on going service, bling, maybe sell him his next bike. Ducati let them down too.

Andy, give the dealer the chance to sort it for you, they won't like to be part of this discussion either, hope they make you a happy customer in the end.

  13. I think I,m just having a moan!
its ducati and riders fault! ducati make some lovely bikes but maybe a bit more development of there newest features wouldn't go amiss, after all it is a premium brand. I don't blame Riders for not having the parts etc. it's just, the lack of feedback! I picked the bike up on Wednesday, I had to wait 1.5 hours as it was not ready, the he rushed through the handover as it was nearly 5.30,
when I got home the DSS error came on and the abs light. I phoned riders the next morning, they seamed a bit blasé , ring the ducati assist they told me, which I did, after waiting 25 minutes on hold I gave up, rung riders back, the then said someone would pick up the bike Saturday morning, No apology. Then I gave them a call Saturday at 5 just to check they had the bike as I had been working, they told me they hadn't looked at it yet, which they said they were going to look at it that afternoon.today I got the call saying parts may not come in until next week.
I know what getting parts is like etc, but come on a bit of courtesy, maybe a call from someone saying sorry wouldn't go a miss!
there! Moan over, but I,m bike less at the mo, which hasn't happened in years! And the sun shining !!!!!!

  16. Chainsaw, you've not got a 2013 model? My 2013 model, Philips screws seem to be in a different place

Seems to me that this is the adjuster on the 2013. I'll try it tomorrow night
