848 / 1098 Modifications - what did you do ?

  1. The seat is a lot better and I think maybe one of the best mods you can do to this bike. You don't slide about with it on. Don't think it helps the wrists much.

  2. Cheers bettes, was think along the line it might help the wrists as it sits you up bit higher as a lot thicker padding were the seat meets the tank area. Its on my to get list.

  3. The superpole seat is a must. Its miles better than oem.

  5. Upper dash cover from Steve @Conquest Carbon, fitted no problem and new DP top fairing. Well happy with the fit as it's more precise that the original one. Just seems to line up perfectly which would never happen with the originals. Typically of DP, the lacquer's a bit thin but still looks ok.

  7. Yes mate. But only a few little ones left to do... For the time being! :)

  8. Looking good Ian!

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  9. Are going all black or keeping the white tank and side panels?

  10. Quite fancy the side panels next but painted in the same white. The 848 showing through in carbon and maybe a little stripe or something. Top and seat fairing mostly white as well. See how it goes...

Not doing / spending anything else (major) till I get the new rear shock on and suspension sorted.

  11. The shock is a big cost ;)

  12. Yes but I waited a long time for a bargain to come up and it was worth the wait. :)

  13. Sorry, I just noticed you said you were waiting to fit the new shock. Doh!

  14. Still not fitted though. Waiting for the shock to get serviced then I'll get it on. Hopefully within the next month.

  15. So did you fit the push rod that comes with fit?

  16. No, I only had the old type pushrod (without the T piece). They are interchangeable as the slave had the cut out for the T.

  17. I might be being thick but what's the T piece you're on about?

  18. It's a little (3mm ish) steel bar and about 15mm long ish that fits through the pushrod, through a drilled hole, forming a T. (Ish) :)

Something similar to this. Mine's just straight. I think the design was changed for the evo.

  20. And TBH reading through comments by others who have done this mod. If you don't remove the small bar, it forces the slave to one side of the casing and you get a small gap.
