for me a old MV , this one would be great, took at the isle of man classic in august, and a pic of mine at plymouth bike night last year, if we are talking ducatis, would have to be a TT2
Nearly bought an MV Augusta back in late 90s (750 in line 4 back then I think). Had it been a twin I'd have bought one. Not see one since. Looking at the phots on here it now looks like a 749 / 999; but not so nice....
Guy I'm pally with on another forum just sold this and not an MV but my other wheels after the rebuild I still think quite pretty but maybe I'm wearing rose tinted thingies
Thank you and Yes Kev to give it its correct title its a Magni Sfida 1000. Sfida is Italian for challenge and it certainly was that when rebuilding it. Its a Guzzi Le Mans 1000 in a frame designed by Magni, I refurbed it a good bit and added quite a few non period parts, the fact that it devalues it is neither here nor there, as I'd never sell it. Pedestrian by to-days standards, I still find myself enjoying immensely. Currently about to mate the engine and gearbox on a rebuild of another one a Sfida 1100, although of the same name it looks quite a bit different.
In that case, once you've finished the 1100 you'll not be needing that shitty old 1000. Lucky for you I'm a scrap dealer and I'll give you preferential rates for recovering the manky old Magni
This is why I love this forum the way the members just can't do enough for each other. That is SO generous Fig why thankyou
remember where I first saw the Le Mans, twas the year that the Scottish Motorbike show was in the McLennan galleries, don't know f you were there or not ..the Prossers had their racer there as well,,, fantastic show.
