Hope it all goes easily for you ACT. The trickiest bit is trying to get the old metal pipe off the bike without bending it out of shape too much.
My Venhill lines also arrived on Friday, dropped off at the dealers this morning. Bike was in the service area, front wheel gone off for straightening at Maidstone. I'd picked up a small dent when we were in Italy, they don't put a slope on the end when you return to the normal road when they are scraping the road surface off and I hit it hard.
M4's just arrived, a bit too late to strip the bike apart today as I want a run out in the morning tomorrow. Look great, exactly as described....good job I've got new pads cheers @pauliealdridge69
I have fitted M4 monoblocks on my MTS. I have replaced both the brakelines. One 188 cm with 1 90 degree banjo and 1 with a 20 degree banjo. The sshort line has 2 20 degree banjo's. I have used one of the oem bleeders one the abs modulator. No spacers are needed. Braking and braking feel have improved significant. Fitting is a strait forward job. You have to remove the tank. Bleeding the system takes some time.
The small, less swept area of the rotor as indicated, makes not a jot of difference. M4's and good pads, your laughing your arse off.
Oh and to the poster regarding how do the Ohlins forks cope? Just fine. Front end dives like biatch under full braking load something amazing? So it's up the compression damping as much as you dare OR you buy/fit the 7nm or 7.5nm Ohlins replacement springs. Makes a HUGE difference and really firms up the front end nicely for a girl with such long legs and really let's the new brakes and whole 'balance' of the bike shine, so to speak. If your 70-85 kgs the 7nms will be fine. Over that got the 7.5nms. Over 105 kgs try the 8nm or b) get off the pies . Actually the 8nms would be very very stiff. Now that you've all got your new M4 calipers on, you're nearly there...new rotors. BrakeTech is your friend. Do it. It's worth every cent. Completes the braking package to the nth degree.
Don't worry @bradders I went up two settings at the front and the back (Ohlins)...just for solo riding.
Sounds awkward, but I was considering install 696 abs system, into a 695 monster. There are 2 pistons more at the front brakes. is that possible or not? The investment is not that much, and results would be very good.

Just wanted to update this thread on my new brakes, in a word.... Superb. I'm really pleased with how quickly they bite and the overall feel, really worth the effort.
Twin4me, pleased to hear its turned out well and your happy with them after all the conversation along the way
I've read all this twice now, with interest, as I'm contemplating putting some M50 calipers on my 2011 Multistrada 1200 S ABS. Question: has anyone here done it? Are the M50s as good as the M4s? Looking at £350-ish for a pair, then lines, fittings and pads.
OK, now I've searched for M4 upgrades, and I see that I'd need to change the master cylinder too. As I can't really fault the front brakes, I doubt if I'll bother. I'd far rather spend the time on the back brake!
You can use both with the stock master cylinder but the behaviour/feel will be different, hence an aftermarket cylinder may improve the response. This thread on the US forum explains the why's. M4 vs M50 - Ducati.ms - The Ultimate Ducati Forum
