  3. Starlane GPS laptime and shift light fitted on top clamp, ignition and rain light switches fitted in dash surround. TCS TC pod fitted on clutch lever mount. WP_20150131_002[1].jpg 10mm closed cell foam used to lift the GPS unit of the top clamp, the pain in the arerse unit has a rear entry cable so needs that little lift.
WP_20150131_003[1].jpg Blurred buggery. WP_20150131_004[1].jpg WP_20150131_005[1].jpg The rain light is mounted on a piece of junk aluminium and off centre. What a waste of effort. Time to re-plan and re-execute in a more professional manner. The wiring is done though, on its own little circuit with the on/off switch up front.

  7. akrapovic evo cans, mid section and back half of headers - custom exhaust port sections. I guess they are twisted because they are.

matt corse owned the system in the past I believe

  10. Fitting of the AP rear caliper is being a drawn out process of cut n shut and machining. The caliper is intended to be used with a 200mm x 4mm disc and the standard 916 series discs are 220mm x 5.4mm. So the discs id off being skimmed 0.7 mm on each pad face and 4mm (yes I know- 216mm dia) off the diameter. This will give clearance back and allow chain adjustment. Running the big hub swingarm with a modified (thanks again FE) small hub reduced the eccentric action and reduces clearance of the caliper mount. It will fit in the end and achive the eight loss I was looking for (1kg)

  11. Did @bradders fit them.........

can you not twist them square ......

  12. WP_20150131_006[1].jpg WP_20150131_007[1].jpg No its how they are fabricated. Bradders would try to fit to his van - as windscreen wipers

  13. Can you not get the pipes cut just before they go into the cans, then twist and re-welded?

  14. I could, but I'm happy to have a sad face for now. The hangers are made to for the position they are in too. So thay would need to be changed - more buggerance.

Bodywork is of for paint now, I just keep fiddling with parts and re fabbing bits as I wait for the sun to return and the first track run out. Anyone interested in 3 x phonic rings to fit 5 hole PCD wheels? One used and colour faded, two as new and never fitted.

  15. Great work Cranker, serious bit of kit you have there. It will pull like a train. Top work

  16. So JC what'shisname disagrees on this.................but there is no solution provided....great!

  17. The cans are as designed originally. Not damaged, not modified from mid section back. It would seem there is no problem, just a matter of taste. I am happy enough with them, they are not run of the mill termis after all. ;)

  18. You still building it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
