Tuneecu Android

  1. @chrisw Thank you for the links, I have ordered the Lonelec cable from the first link also provided by @Dorset Desmo, after looking at the other two links I assume I dont need to buy the other cables ? only have the 848 SF & Evo and the 1199s

  2. The 1199 uses the Mitsubishi ECU. To connect to that you will need the BT ELM327, the LonElec Multistrada lead and Multi Tool Lite Android.

Your other bikes use the IAW5AM so the leads you have ordered are perfect. You then have a large choice of which software to use.

  3. Yeah I have seen that there is a multitude of software, I am not on android but windows based so the Multi Tool Lite Android is out of the question for the moment.

    I have downloaded GuzziDiag_V0.46 & IAW5xReader_V0.24.
Are the different softwares better at doing certain things ? i.e. one is a better reader the other a better writer ?

  4. Chris you will have to ignore my ignorance but looking at the complete package in your first link and comparing it to the 2nd link you provided, the lead far right of 1st picture looks similar to the lead in the second picture except the + & - lead attached

  5. The connector in the first picture uses a 3 way Superseal connector and two fly leads. It connects to the K Line and earth

The connector in the second uses a 4 way Sigma Miniseal connector. It connects to +12v, -ve, Can H and Can L

They are different as the ECUs use different protocols for the diagnostics

  6. Right got it, thank you.
You mentioned on an earlier post that for reflashing you need USB KKL Lead (FTDI) I have ordered both kits from your links and the two pictures I have posted, Can I read and write now or just read ?

  7. Sorry mate one last question. Where is the Ecu and plug on the 848 streetfighter is it at the rear near the battery ? I know where it is on my EVO :)

  8. Under seat

  9. Ta much appreciated, look to the West Sussex area around 7pm if you see a mushroom cloud you know I've nuked it

  10. Best tip I can give you is to never connect the black fly lead to the -ve battery terminal. Always put it to a good earth on the engine or frame. You will never invert the fly leads if you do that - Inversion = ECU damage

  11. Thanks Chris I will remember that one. Hey any idea where I can get the map that is shipped with termi slip ons ?

  12. To those not running an Android phone (like myself), EE have just announced the EE Rook. An Android Lollipop phone for £39 if you are an existing EE customer, or £49 if you're not. Seems worth it to me just to use for TuneECU.

  13. I am finding this all very interesting. I have only had my 848 for a week or so and have just reset the Service indicator with a Google Nexus and ScanM5X and a bluetooth OBD adaptor.
This software interests me because my bike is a 2010 French market bike which should be restricted to 107bhp. I would love to change the mapping to the UK full power version. The first thing that I should probably do is to find out what map is installed on the ECU and I have no idea how to do that. Before I go and buy TuneECU and the cable version of the OBD plug, can anyone tell me how to get the number of the present map?

  14. Get the ref numbers off the labels on the ECU. Use the database in the earlier post to search the info. The only issue is if the ECU has been reflashed. The best way to ID the ECU is to connect to it via JPDiag.

  15. Thanks Chris, the labels will say that it is the French market 107 bhp version as it was supplied new in France. The seller told me that it was full power and that is why I would like to electronically read the identity of the map. Is JPDiag different to ScanM5X?

  16. I have found JPDiag and it seems that it is a windows program. All my PCs run on Linux and the tablet on Android so it seems that I am stumped on that, will do some more internet reading.
