    Some of the dealers also sell some termis as kits

    Not sure if Ducati do one for MTS - but other manufacturers do for sure.

  4. Yeah, I know that engines have air filters :upyeah:.

    I was wondering if Ducati were offering a high flow air filter as an approved part.

  6. Graph totally explains why the dvt feels lacking in bottom end, massive hole compared! Really useful.
     
  7. Simon Audi, that is the one before last! The Skyhook 2013 on one has the USB key instead of the ECU. But that came with the performance air filter too. It is the old saying: what goes in must come out. If you are increasing the outflow with the full Termi it makes sense to increase the inflow with a more free flowing filter.
     
  8. Tobers did you have to disable the exhaust valve and if so what was the process ?

    I'm calling Moto Rapido today to see what work may be possible with a custom map and if that + an arrow full system may affect warranty?

  10. The exhaust valve comes off with the old pipework. The cable is removed from the valve, and the instructions say to simply tie it up alongside the rear brake hose out of the way. The cable activating motor isn't removed. The upmap ensures there are no error warnings due to the valve/cable not operating.

    Fitting the Termi system isn't very complicated (ask your dealer to print out the instructions as there are none in the box), apart from getting the two pipes to align when fitting into the 2-into-1 Y piece. That's a right bastard. WD40 on all the pipe connections helps them to slip into place more easily and retains adjustability while loose to enable you to line it all up and get the rear silencer tucked in nicely and not sticking out like a badly broken leg.
     

  11. Ah txs Tobbers, the remap explains why you dont have to worry about the engine end of the cable coming out and causing exval errors when fitting an after market jobbie.

  12. I am surprised that a dealer has not fitted a termi on a demo, they would sell more bikes and termis, especially if you could compare, i test rode a gs with an ackropovic sold me on sound alone for the bike, still bought MS

My experience with filters on the MTS 2010-2014 and the bikes that shares this filter (848/1X98) is its not a restrictive at all, take the filter out completely and power is like one hp down with either filter you choose OEM, DP or MWR, to NO filter. What IS worth noting is that the oem and termi filter is sealing poorly at the ends, so tip is to either glue filter material to the ends of it or get a foam filter such as MWR.
    Take your filter out and use a flash light too see how much fine dirt is inside there :)
    So air filter here isnt a tuning option, as its not a restricting factor.

  14. I suspect its because the Termi isn't road legal so their insurers wont allow it.
     
  15. Its allowed here regarding insurance, but selling the bike to the customer he would want it to go with the same price as the stocker, likely the issue. Dealers will avoid losing 1300 euro if they can and who are to blaim them? Follow the money.

    It can't. Do remember that Ducati is now a VAG company… …so it'll have a set of parameters to never exceed when in stock trim, will detect when the Termi upmap is installed and report an extra dozen ps and presumably has a different map for EU emissions testing. Cynical, moi?
     
  17. Hi Duc2 did you install the QS ur self ? I heard that the old multi had probs installing the translogic QS but the DVT QS has a different part number.
     
  18. I don't think there's any issue with being road legal in the UK. There is a plate on the exhaust saying "USA & Canada...not for road use" but nothing for the UK at all. I had no problems getting my insurer (Hastings) to log the Termi as a mod.

    but unless it's got the kite symbol, which it has not its not street legal in the uk. The old full termi used to have a band on it stating "race use only". You can still get it insured but the old bill can still do you for using an illegal can.
    Didn't stop me buying one last time lol.
