took a ride out today, and called in a country pub for a shandy. A young lady came over and seeing my gloves/helmet, asked me if I was a real biker? "Well, I've had motorcycles since I was thirteen" I replied. I've rode Hondas, Kawasakis, Suzukis, Yamahas and Ducatis, my father rode Triumphs, Nortons and Panthers, and I'm on motorcycle forums daily. I've fallen off a few, and I've raced a few, so I guess you could say, I'm probably a real biker". "I'm a lesbian" she said. " I spend the majority of every day thinking about women. As soon as I awake, I think about women. When eating my lunch, I think about women, and when I go to bed, I think about women". Then she smiled sweetly, got up and left. As I was thinking about what she'd said, a young guy walked over, sat down, and asked "are you a real biker?" "I thought I was, but I've just found out I'm a lesbian"
Today is the tenth anniversary of my grandad's death. I'll never forget his dying words - "are you sure you're still holding the ladder ?"
We had next door round last night for a curry and drinks. She didn't leave till she was well and truly pissed at 2am, and thats when we went to bed. And lo and behold I wake up at my "normal" weekday time of 5.30am so I just got up and watched the MotoGP. Which I'm glad I did. The rest of today has been and will be spent on the sofa drifting in and out of a coma.

Today I raced my first mountain bike enduro (several timed downhill stages with ridden transitions between them). I crashed hard in stage one, but finished the race and had a whale of a time. It was properly steep, rooty, technical and hard and I loved every minute of it!
Ironing done. Hoovering done. Washing done. Dusting done. Kids bathed. Kids in bed. Perfect. Now I can leave the pub.
