If you're talking about the fuel pump (assuming there's a relay in there) I've tried unplugging that but no change... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Just looked over the wiring diagram. The dash gets two 12v feeds from the fuse box. Position 1 on the fusebox goes to Pin 14 on the dash connector. Position 6 on the fuse box goes to pin 12 on the dash connector. You need to get a meter onto these two pins to see if you are getting 12v with ignition on. I don't know where the relay is on a HM but one is shown on the wiring diagram.
Yeah, that's the solenoid.. I've replaced that... I'll check the pins tomorrow.... Thanks very much... Might give me a starting point... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
4 is the fuse box. 17, yes, but I've not seen that on the bike anywhere... Not that I can see... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
I think I can see the relay on eBay... Looks like it mounts to the frame somewhere.... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
17 is the fuel injector relay... Not sure how (if it's faulty) would kill the whole bike.... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Ok....Just a thought.... My CBR600RR used to turn over with the kill switch off just wouldn't fire and flicking it back to run never worked until you had the ignition off then back on Didn't know if our bikes had some crazy shit like that too
A shred of good news....just phoned Louigi moto's and the lad there has just fixed a problem with a monster that had the same problem, kind of....apparently when the bike was off the fuel pump would carry on going...relay number 17 had failed in an open state....so he said to me if it fails in a closed state then it would exhibit the scenario I'm getting....theyre getting a delivery of relays today so I'm going to head down after work...they've got a new computer for diagnosing electrical faults and he can look on there and (so he tells me) it gives a photographic view of where the offending part should be so he'll show me later on....I could do with a bit of good luck.... I was working from home yesterday and at lunchtime took the rear wheel off my z1ooo down for a slow puncture repair...paid 20 quid, spent half an hour swearing at the back wheel getting it back in. Got on it to go to work this morning and the tyre was flatter than when it had the nail in it....only this could happen to me...
That's different from mine....there, ive got the fuel pump plug and the o2 sensor....so, for mine relay 17 is somewhere else on the bike....
