I've tried to find threads to answer this but the 180 60 17 rear restricts options for the 899 Pan. Has anyone found a work around for the TC if fitting a 55 profile? Cheers all
Short answer is, you can go with a different profile if you turn the tc off. Otherwise it's rosso Corsa, supercorsas, Dunlop doo da's or track rubber.
Issues with the tc cutting the power to the motor when she's lent over aka mid corner... From what I gather it can be pretty violent as well. But at a minimum the system will likely get confused and flash like a Christmas tree. However results have varied from person to person. Was speaking with a guy around Christmas last year who mentioned that his 899 nearly threw him down the road at Brands from running a different profile (smaller from memory). He did say however that it's far less violent with the tc turned right down.
Oh wow, didn't know this. I've had a new 180/60 Rosso Corsa fitted today, but was looking at 180/55 as it would have allowed me to go with Metzeler M7RR's, glad I didn't now.
Heard a rumor if you turn TC off an insurance company may not pay out in an accident. Not sure how true that is.......
