I had a punter once who tried to p/X an XJS Convertible that drove all over the shop and I wasn't surprised than when I HPI checked it that it was a cat C! He said I know and I've got a certificate stating it! The trader who stuck him in it told him it was part of the service history
It's been mentioned, several of us are watching it no doubt, but we know not why. It's almost as though we want to like it but don't
Is this wrong ? 2005 (55) Ducati 749R Edition....Only 500 Made | eBay My understanding is that the facelift model went to single vent in the front fairing. Andy
Looks like a marketing photo so not the actual bike perhaps? Previously registered overseas... 55 plate but date of first reg is 29/1/08...
I saw that bike last year when I was looking for a new R...the guy was selling a 999R which was lovely but basically too similar to my 749R to be exciting * ...he did however have this BMW which was way more interesting than his 999! Beautifully made, very nicely styled, fantastic paint job, sounded like a Heinkel 111 when he started it for me! Thing is, you'd need the full ginger beard/check shirt/skinny jeans combo to pull it off. ( *Ended up getting the 1098R instead)
Well, I'd never argue that you made the wrong decision in buying the 1098R, but I bet you wish you had both in the garage.

He would probably do well to word his advert a little better. Terminology like "Full whack" do little to inspire confidence.

Engine just rebuilt (seals and gaskets) and almost everything powdercoated (including the engine cases). It starts and sounds lovely and crisp but the KIPS valves aren’t operating correctly. I think it’s either the zeeltronic power valve controller that is faulty or just me that doesn’t know how to set it up correctly (I do admit that I don’t know how to set it up but have had a play with it and can’t get it working quite right). Other than the KIPS valves and probable carb setting up once they are working correctly, it just needs paint.
