  1. I had a punter once who tried to p/X an XJS Convertible that drove all over the shop and I wasn't surprised than when I HPI checked it that it was a cat C! He said I know and I've got a certificate stating it! The trader who stuck him in it told him it was part of the service history

  4. It's been mentioned, several of us are watching it no doubt, but we know not why. It's almost as though we want to like it but don't :)

  5. Looks like a marketing photo so not the actual bike perhaps?
    Previously registered overseas...
55 plate but date of first reg is 29/1/08...

  6. I saw that bike last year when I was looking for a new R...the guy was selling a 999R which was lovely but basically too similar to my 749R to be exciting *
...he did however have this BMW which was way more interesting than his 999!

Beautifully made, very nicely styled, fantastic paint job, sounded like a Heinkel 111 when he started it for me!

Thing is, you'd need the full ginger beard/check shirt/skinny jeans combo to pull it off.

( *Ended up getting the 1098R instead)

  7. Well, I'd never argue that you made the wrong decision in buying the 1098R, but I bet you wish you had both in the garage.

  8. I know it's been up for months and months. If it was right I'd have expected it gone by now.

  9. Rothmans Honda NSR250 on the 2stroke forum ( a member's bike) :-

This is going up for sale in a few weeks time

It needs an MOT (being done 1st week of Sept) whilst I wait for the new dating certificate from Honda, then it will be registered on an age related plate as 1 owner (me). You could be the 1st owner if you do the registration

Genuine Honda fairing and tail piece

Usual SP extra's are fully adjustable suspension, dry clutch and magtek wheels.

If you are interested send me a PM

Bike stands me at £7,5k will take £7k as it is now or the full whack when it's registered

    Bike in South Manchester

  10. He would probably do well to word his advert a little better. Terminology like "Full whack" do little to inspire confidence.

    his words
I've been slowly doing bits with the KR for about 18-month now and just when it's nearly there, I've been tempted by another bike but the wife won't let me bring another home without making some space first. Sadly, the KR drew the short straw so i've decided to offer it up for sale...

    Kawasaki KR1-R spec KR1-S
Needs a small amount of work to finish. Engine just rebuilt (seals and gaskets) and almost everything powdercoated (including the engine cases). It starts and sounds lovely and crisp but the KIPS valves aren’t operating correctly. I think it’s either the zeeltronic power valve controller that is faulty or just me that doesn’t know how to set it up correctly (I do admit that I don’t know how to set it up but have had a play with it and can’t get it working quite right). Other than the KIPS valves and probable carb setting up once they are working correctly, it just needs paint.
