R1 throttle mod on 999

  2. That's what I ordered over the phone, but the sticker on the packet is the same without the '-00' on the end - I'm presuming it's the same?

  5. I fitted one last week. Slack has gone, quicker action, I love it.
    Cost £22 and took 15 mins.

  11. Mine fitted dead on. If the exposed metal in the pic is the end of the clip on (not the throttle tube) can you not just loosen the clamp bolts and nudge things along a bit.

  13. No, the throttle housing has a bump that fits in a hole in the clip on. It is the clip on sticking out.

    New bar ends on the list but I may be buying bar end mirrors.

  14. CR did you get them from Wemoto, if so how long did it take and was it a special order out of stock when you ordered it? I am also considering a small bar end mirror (license concerns due to the uselessness of the mirrors)

  15. Nah, got from local Yamaha dealers. £30 odd with matching grip for clutch side.

    As seen, bit short so will cover with black tape I think. Or maybe hacksaw time........ Or maybe some fancy CF clip ons......

    Mod works really well, much better amount of turn from 0 to hero.

  19. I fitted the black grips that have shaped slits exposing a red layer beneath, which I reckon look great on a red bike. No length issues with those
    I also have the smaller Oberon Streetfighter bar end mirror in black on the right side.
    It sits over my little finger. It's neat, discreet, beautifully made, fills in the blind spot immediately behind perfectly and is highly recommended.

  20. Just a quick question will my aftermarket bar ends still fit the new tube i.e. Are they the same diameter?
