  1. You lot are braver than me. When they whip the sheet off, it might look like this! Don't say I didn't warn you! :D

  2. No it won't. The indicators and exhaust are too small for euro 4.

  6. I agree the purchase of the SL2 requires an invitation from Ducati. However, they did take a while to flog the SL1's and I think if your dealer puts your name forward, you'll be okay. I understand the clamour for the Anniversario and that it sold out quickly but this is in a different price bracket altogether.

I'm still in two minds. I love my SL1 and I'm pleased I bought it. However, I think it's too early for an SL2 (an update every three years means a loss of some of its exclusivity). Plus, the marketing is pure BS. If they were sure about flogging them all, they just release the damn thing without all the BS. Unless they are mistaken in the belief that bikers actually like all this sh*te.

On the plus side, you can sling yer leg over it and have fun on it for a few years then sell it and probably not be out of pocket.

  8. I totally agree with you here. Have been having the same thoughts, do I pull the pin and do it or do I stick with what I have? The dilemma continues.

  9. sounds like there will be a few cheap SL's coming on the market...

  11. The Cheapest so far is about £43995 Bradders, in my opinion still too much for a lot of people.

  13. when 'you lot' start disposing of them, the price will fall. Demo's went down to 30k wish when they came to the end of 3 years and were being disposed of, reckon SL may do similar. Given its technology, that would be a good buy versus a proper track bike with all the right suspension etc and should be competitive out the box. Dumping lights etc will give a wet bike of c160kg ash with 200 rwhp. Better than a WSBK :)

I am talking myself into this, aren't I ;) Good job the balance is dry...

  14. £12 - £16K over and above the SL1 is a lot to ask, irrespective who you are. Its just whether or not the 'Whole Package' is totally worth the exclusivity

  15. I think Ducati warned that posting of photos before its official release would be deemed a offence. Not sure whether they could enforce it in a court of law.

  16. I'm on holiday right now, but apperntly in the post I've received something from Ducati. Can anyone on here confirm if the letter they've received was an invititiation to purchase the bike or just a little teaser for website info.

  17. Its both an invite to call your dealer and a 'little teaser' but its a different looking WWW from the original SL teaser 3 years ago.

  20. One thing I will say, when my dealer contacted me about the SL1, he described it as "stunning". However, he's much more into the detail of the SL2. Apart from the carbon frame, wheels, etc., he reckons the electronics package is much more MotoGP than WSBK. It seems to be a big leap forward from the SL1. Before I stump up my hard-earned cash, though, Ducati need to provide me more info.
