So, a free trade deal with the USA is likely on the cards Donald Trump ally backs free trade deal with Britain to show America's 'solidarity with our indispensable ally' I suppose those with a glass half empty will say that this is worth less to the UK than the EU deal?
I'd hope we grow most of it, and what we do export some over to the EU, and import in some of theirs, you know, like trade. As for a trade deal with the USA, well I'm sure that would be hugely beneficial for the UK
I thought something like 90% of fruit and veg was imported and the bulk of that from Europe. That said, while I do think prices for such would go up I can't imagine it would have too much impact.. I'm just waffling.. Bored...
Honestly I wouldn't know how much we import, but if importation prices rise, then I can only assume that the buyers would source locally within the UK as the benefit of importation would cease. Obviously we can't grow everything and so we'll always need to import something,but that's not to say it has to come via one of the EU ports or hubs. If we can actually start a free trade deal with the USA that would be a very positive move.

Do you mean the EXTRA £800 million on top of the usual money that is allocated through the Barnet formula despite oil revenues falling through the floor? Add to that the new ship building and armed forces projects allocated to Scottish industry? Just checking
