Be interested to see that was hard to make a decision Yeah they are Will get the tank wrapped too i think or a carbon cover.
What Dunlops are you running on? I've always liked Dunlops but struggled to find them in the right size. Cheers
No idea lol. What they came with when I bought it. When it arrives back home will take a look for you
I'm running them on my 899 mate as they are one of the few that comes in 180/60 and I'm really happy with them, lovely front end stability (less twitchy) and the rear gives lots of feel. They are quite a stiff tyre but I quite like that... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would be tempted to try them. When I raced I used to love the 211 ntec over the SC and Michelin Does the TC act up with the different tyre? Overall I can't really fault the standard rosso but I really don't like the front tyre especially at low speed. Feels like a flat tyre for some reason. Also my front tyre has stepped quite badly. I was going to try supercorsa SP next but might look at the dunlops too
When I switched from Diablo Rosso to Supercorsas on my 959 the TC threw its toys out of the pram when it was damp (it has a more rounded edge profile, so leant over the wheel would spin faster than the ECU expected. It was only really a problem when conditions were a little dodgy and I had DTC on a relatively high setting. In the dry in Race I didn't have any issues.
Yes, and wet is optimized on another more winter tyre if memory serves. Actually, it isn't the mode so much as the DTC setting... say 1-2 is SC, 3-6 is DR, and 7-8 is the other tyre... don't quote me on the numbers, but you get the idea (there is a page in the owners manual). Actually, I seem to remember the lower setting isn't just the SC (SP), but the softer SC2 (I think).
CNC racing bar ends - what a shit product. The bar ends themselves are nice, but the way to fit them is to wedge a bit of plastic with a screw in it in the handlebar end. Don't think they'd come off without ruining the bar ends.
Hey Phil got the bike back today looks great in the metal the wheels are a light metalic gold. If you contact Gken @ ducatiproteam he will point you in tje right direction for colour powdercoat If the sun comes out sat will get a few pics up in the sun as they "pop"
Finished installing my 1299 exhaust (except for fairings, which are on back order) Bit of a pain in the backside of a job (like so many on these bikes - certainly not like a jap bike!) The bike feels noticeably lighter pushing it around and feels smaller without the pipe up the side. Not the most straight forward of jobs - I found it easier just removing the rear header and releasing the shock/swing arm Bolt as it's extremely Tight getting the link pipe disconnected. http://s1110.photobucket.com/user/elbowsg450x/media/84883F6D-F14E-42CD-AAE5-393CEDBF5590_zps2awjz1eb.jpg.html] http://s1110.photobucket.com/user/elbowsg450x/media/AE0D015F-8E1A-4C4A-A142-695FD44A5A89_zpsmmhkc1ka.jpg.html] http://s1110.photobucket.com/user/elbowsg450x/media/E73D39DA-0276-475A-ADDB-E6EC53F8EC26_zpsuvvabgg8.jpg.html]
Thanks I wanted to remove the cylinder head plastic trim also but it looks a right pain so left it on. I think it looks much better when you can see the engine.
Anyone else notice the other difference in the before and after you pics? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
